The Waseca Parks Department is responsible for approximately 200 acres of park land. This land is comprised of 15 parks, which includes amenities such as baseball, softball, and soccer fields, basketball, tennis, and sand volleyball courts, playground equipment, picnic shelters and restrooms, and outdoor skating rinks. Maplewood Park and Northwest Nature Park are also available to those seeking the solitude nature offers plus offering a unique environmental educational learning experience. The Parks Department also maintains approximately 9.2 miles of hard surface trails throughout Waseca.
Park Advisory Board
Composed of five (5) members, four (4) general public and one (1) Council member. The Board will make recommendations to the City Manager and City Council pertaining to, but not limited to, park land acquisition, development, improvement and use. 3 year term. Regularly meets 1st Tuesday of every month at 11:30am.
