Community Policing
The Waseca Police Department promotes community policing within our community. The WPD is responsible for the management and supervision of community oriented policing, with emphasis on coordinating problem-solving efforts within the community, and serving as a liaison between the police department and those segments of the community experiencing particular difficulties. We develop and implement strategies and problem-solving techniques, which are considered critical the concepts of community policing and are used in combination and in conjunction with community members, businesses, government entities and police officers.
