City of Waseca Extreme Drought Notification

Restrictive Phase Notice

The City of Waseca is in a Restrictive Phase as notified by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) due to the extreme drought.  Our area is not yet in a water use ban phase.  Waseca City Council Ordinance 1058 and Resolution 17-61, in compliance with Minnesota Statutes 103G.291, provides authorization for the following water conservation measures by all citizens and businesses until further notice:

  • Restrict and limit all non-essential outdoor water use:
    • Lawn irrigation & park irrigation
    • All water use from an outside hose bib faucet
    • Vehicle washing
