Boards and Commissions

Waseca residents are invited to participate in the process of City of Waseca government. One of the most effective ways to provide input is through service on one of the City's citizen advisory boards and committees. Through this service, civic-minded citizens become involved in their local government and make recommendations to the Waseca City Council. The City, in turn, benefits from the knowledge, experience and expertise of citizens.

Prospective board and committee members must complete an application form which can be completed and emailed online or printed and mailed in. Completed PDF forms may be mailed to the City Hall or sent by fax to (507) 835-8871. Appointments to the boards are approved by the City Council. Members are appointed by the City Council at a regular meeting of the Council in January of each year (and throughout the year to fill vacancies).

  • Planning Commission

Most groups meet on a monthly basis. Anyone interested in serving on one of these Boards may submit an application to City Hall, 508 South State Street. Applications can be obtained at City Hall or call (507) 835-9700. Email for application as well.
