NW Nature Park Brush Removal and Burning

The City of Waseca was awarded grant funding through the MN DNR Conservation Partners Legacy Grant Program. As part of this grant program, the City of Waseca has contracted removal of undesirable underbrush vegetation (buckthorn and other invasives) on 16.50 acres of the NW Nature Park. The selected contractor will begin work on January 11. The contractor is responsible for cutting, piling, and burning the underbrush vegetation. The Waseca Fire Department and Waseca County Dispatch will be notified prior to the control burn. Please see the attached project map for specific underbrush vegetation removal and burning sites.
