FILING OPEN FOR 2022 CITY ELECTION

Notice is hereby given by the City of Waseca, Minnesota that the first day of filing of candidates for the November 8, 2022 City General Election is Tuesday, August 2, 2022, and the last day for filing is Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

The offices to be filled at the general election are as follows:

Mayor – two year term

Council member Ward 1 – four year term

Council member Ward 2 – four year term

Council member Ward 3 – four year term

NOTICE is hereby given by the City of Waseca, Minnesota that the first day of filing of candidates for the November 8, 2022 City Special Election is Tuesday, August 2, 2022, and the last day for filing is Tuesday, August 16, 2022. This seat will be filled the day after the November 8, 2022 election is certified and is a two year term.

The office to be filled at special election is as follows:           

Council member Ward 1- two year term

Candidates may file in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 508 South State Street, Waseca, Minnesota during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from August 2, 2022 to August 16, 2022.  The City Clerk’s office will be open until 5:00 p.m. on August 16th.  Candidates must be over 21 years of age and have maintained residence in the Ward from which the candidate seeks election for 30 days before the election.  Filing fee is $2.00.
