South State Street Water Main Improvements

Phase 2 - (5th Ave to 6th Ave & 2nd Ave to north of RR)

Project Description: In 2020, Phase 1 of the South State Street Water Main Improvements Project was completed between 5th Avenue and south of the RR crossing.  Phase 2 was a continuation of this project between 5th Avenue to 6th Avenue and between 2nd Avenue to north of the RR crossing.  The scope of work involved pavement removal, water main and pavement replacement, and water service connections.  

Project Status: On March 25th, seven (7) bids were opened with a low bid received of $204,115.50.  The low bidder (R.A.W. Construction LLC) was awarded the project on April 6th.  The project began on June 7th and ended on July 8th.    

Project Costs & Funding: Construction costs for this project totaled $221,016.54.  Design was completed by Stantec for a total amount of $30,069.77 and City staff performed inspection.  This project was 100% funded by the City and these improvements were not assessed to adjacent properties.
