Hwy 13 & 7th Ave Drainage Improvements

Project Description: The MnDOT made ADA sidewalk and ramp, drainage, and signal improvements to the intersection of State Hwy 13 and 7th Avenue.  During the design phase of this project, it was discovered that the storm sewer pipe that drains an existing intake in the SW corner of that intersection had failed.  Therefore, the City participated in the replacement of that intake and made a new pipe connection to an existing storm sewer pipe that runs along 7th Avenue as part of this project.       

Project Status: Construction on the MnDOT Project and the associated storm sewer repairs began August 2nd and was completed in late September.

Project Costs & Funding: The total estimated cost for the City's share of the storm sewer repairs is approximately $25,000.  The improvements associated with this project will not be assessed to adjacent properties.
